Are you ready to join the Auxiliary?
You will need to complete:
A Security background check by the U.S. Coast Guard will take place, after you complete a SF 86 form and fingerprints are taken.
A short processing period while the Director of Auxiliary (DIRAUX) of our District will assign you a new member number.
After receiving your member number, you may want to start becoming Boat Crew Qualified, which would then allow you to participate in boating activities. Without this qualification, you could go onboard as an observer.
The Boat Crew Qualification process can take anywhere from two months to a year; it would depend on how fast you would like to move through the training, and on the availability of others to support you in this training.
We welcome visitors to our monthly meetings, which usually a program of interest followed by the business portion.
